Regulations
The Marx József Fotoclub (Targu Mures – Marosvasarhely, Romania), in collaboration with the Town Council Targu Mures and the County Council Mures, invites you to participate in the 9th International Photographic Salon. The salon is open to all amateur and professional photographers from all over the world and is organized according to the international regulations of the International Photographic Salons.

1. THEMES

2. REQUIREMENTS
- The organizers will not accept photographs that have been exhibited in the previous editions of the Salon.
- Each participant is allowed with a maximum number of 4 photographs each theme.
- The works must be uploaded to fotoklub-mures.ro in JPG format with a pixel size max. of 1920 on the longer side, max of 1080 on the shorter side, with a 300 dpi resolution, either in black&white or color.
- An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no color (i.e. contains only shades of grey which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a grayscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example by Sepia, red, gold, etc.) A grayscale or multicolored image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a Color Work.
3. HOW TO NAME YOUR IMAGES

The photographs must have English titles as well. “Untitled” or “No title” are not acceptable.
The submission form needs to be completed and signed digitally (by checking the last checkbox of the Entry form), and is a guarantee for the authenticity of the photographs. After which, the photos will be uploaded in the appropriate areas, before moving on to the payment of the registration fee as a partial contribution to the costs.
4. ENTRY FEE
Participation fee is 15 € for EU countries, 18 $ for USA and non-EU, for Romanian participants 50 lei.

Each participant paying the participation fee will receive the printed catalog 30 cm x 21 cm of the Salon.

6. SALON CALENDAR
Closing date for application and fee: 2nd of October 2019
Judging: 9th-11th of October 2019
Announcement of the results: 19th of October 2019
Exhibition Opening: 8th of November 2019
Exhibition Date: 8th November – 8th of December 2019
Catalogs, medals posted: 20th of January 2020
7. JUDGES
The works will be evaluated by the qualified jury consisting of:
- Kerekes István – EFIAP/d3, Hungary
- Nagy Lajos – EFIAP/d3, Romania
- Ovidiu D. Pop – EFIAP/s, Romania
- Alternate: Both Gyula – AFIAP, Romania
The jury team are judging photographs in not consecutive (random) order.
The equipment used for judging is TV Monitor 55 LG FULL HD.

The awarded works will be part of the Marx József Fotoclub heritage with the accord of the authors. The authors of the works will maintain their right as the author of the awarded images. The works will only be reproduced to promote the International Salon. The organizers will use the awarded photos only in the catalogue of the Salon and to promote the competition in the mass-media. The organizers assume no liability for any misuse of copyright. (Law No. 8/ 1996)

By the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.
